Seafarers have own legislation. The maritime legislation takes into consideration the special features and conditions of working at sea. The main laws concerning seafarers are; the Merchant Shipping Act, the Seafarers’ Annual Holidays Act, the Seamen’s Working Hours Act and the Act on Working Hours Act on Vessels in Domestic Traffic.
