The Executive Committee includes the Union Chairperson, the Union Secretary and at least eight (8) and a maximum of thirteen (13) actual members. Each actual member of the Executive Committee has a personal deputy member. The Executive Committee chooses from amongst its members a deputy chairperson.

The task of the Executive Committee is to take care of the matters of Finnish Seamen’s Union in accordance with the decisions made by the Congress and the General Council. Each local trade union branch and its members can make proposals to the Executive Committee.
