Occupational health and safety

What is occupational health and safety?

In Finland occupational health and safety includes, in addition to occupational health and safety, also the terms and conditions of employment, psychological wellbeing, management, the operation of the organization as well as co-operation.
The aim of occupational health and safety is the management of safety through initiatives initiated by the workplace itself. Occupational health and safety at the workplace is a matter for everyone. An employee has a duty of responsibility to take care of his or her safety as well as others. If anybody notices any defects or deficiencies concerning occupational safety, then s/he must always find a way to rectify them.
